Contact Lenses for Every Patient

At Riz Eye Care, we believe every patient deserves clear, comfortable vision—whether you need basic everyday contacts or highly specialized lenses for complex prescriptions. Our team has extensive experience fitting a full range of contact lenses, from simple daily disposables to advanced RGP and scleral designs.

Before you can consider what contact lenses are right for you, you'll need a comprehensive contact lens exam and fitting to ensure a secure, comfortable, and healthy fit. Contact lenses are medical devices that sit directly on your eyes, so proper fitting is essential.

Contact lens fitting — Our expert team ensures you find the perfect lens for your lifestyle and visual needs.

Your Contact Lens Exam & Fitting

Contact lenses can correct a wide range of refractive errors:

Myopia (nearsightedness)
Hyperopia (farsightedness)
Astigmatism
Presbyopia (age-related near vision loss)
High prescriptions that may be difficult to correct with glasses alone
Irregular corneas from conditions like keratoconus or post-surgical changes

During your exam, our team reviews your lifestyle needs, occupation, and preferences. We assess the health of your cornea, measure its curvature and size, evaluate your tear film, and fit you with trial lenses. Follow-up appointments ensure your comfort and vision are optimized.

Everyday Contact Lenses

For patients with straightforward prescriptions, we offer a wide selection of daily disposable, bi-weekly, and monthly soft contact lenses from all major brands. These are ideal for patients who want a simple, convenient lens they can wear comfortably all day. We'll help you find the right brand, material, and wearing schedule that fits your routine.

Specialty & Advanced Lens Options

RGP (Rigid Gas Permeable) Lenses

RGP lenses provide exceptionally sharp, crisp vision—often sharper than soft lenses, especially for patients with high prescriptions or astigmatism. Because they maintain their shape on the eye, they correct vision more precisely. RGP lenses are highly durable, cost-effective over time, and allow excellent oxygen flow to the cornea.

Scleral Lenses

Scleral lenses are larger-diameter rigid lenses that vault completely over the cornea and rest on the white of the eye (sclera). The space between the lens and cornea acts as a fluid reservoir, providing exceptional comfort for patients with dry eye disease, keratoconus, post-RK (radial keratotomy), post-LASIK complications, and other irregular cornea conditions. They are often the best option when other lenses have failed.

Toric Lenses

Designed specifically to correct astigmatism, toric lenses have multiple powers built in and are weighted to maintain the correct orientation on your eye. Available in both soft and RGP materials for mild to significant astigmatism.

Multifocal Lenses

For patients over 40 experiencing presbyopia, multifocal contacts provide clear vision at all distances—near, intermediate, and far—without the need for reading glasses. Available in soft and RGP options with various designs to match your visual demands.

Hybrid Lenses

Hybrid lenses combine a rigid center for sharp optics with a soft outer ring for comfort. They're an excellent option for patients with keratoconus or high astigmatism who want the visual clarity of an RGP lens with the comfort and stability of a soft lens.

Post-Surgical & Irregular Cornea Lenses

Patients who have had radial keratotomy (RK), LASIK, PRK, or corneal transplants may develop irregular corneas that are difficult to correct with glasses or standard contacts. We specialize in fitting scleral and custom RGP lenses that provide clear, stable vision for these complex cases. If you've been told contacts won't work for you, we encourage you to schedule a consultation.

Keratoconus & Complex Fittings

Keratoconus is a progressive condition where the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape, causing distorted vision that glasses often cannot fully correct. Our team has specialized experience fitting patients with keratoconus using scleral lenses, RGP lenses, and hybrid designs that restore clear, functional vision. Early detection and proper lens fitting can significantly improve quality of life for keratoconus patients.
